TEXTLEGAL, LLC ( "TEXTLEGAL" or “we”) respect the privacy of you (the "Company") and the users of our Application and the Services ("users"; Company and users may be collectively reffered to as "you") and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the TEXTLEGAL’s keyword short code SMS forwarding services (the “Services”) or the TEXTLEGAL application (including all related documentation, the “Application” ) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is to not download the Application or use the Services. By downloading the Application or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of the Application or the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
We collect several types of information from and about you, including information:
1. By which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, location, business name, credit card (“personal information” );
2. Collected automatically when you use the Application or
the Services; and/or,
3. Provided directly from you when you provide it to us,
such as when you register for an account on the
Application.
4. Your messages using our Services are not stored on your
own device; they are stored on TextLegal's server. We
retain your text messages in the ordinary course of
providing our Services to you and we retain them for a
period of thirty (30) days unless you delete them
sooner.
The information we collect on or through our Application or the Services may include:
1. Information that you provide by registering for the Services. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Services or the Application or any other information the Application collects that is defined as personal or personally identifiable information under an applicable law. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Services or the Application
2. Records and copies of your correspondence (including
email addresses), if you contact us.
3. Details of transactions you carry out through the
Services or the Application.
When you download, access, and use the Application, it may use technology to automatically collect:
1. Usage Details. When you access and use the Application, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Application, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Application or the Services.
2. Device Information. We may collect
information about your mobile device and internet
connection, including the device’s unique device
identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type,
mobile network information, and the device’s telephone
number.
3. Stored Information and Files. The
Application also may access metadata and other information
associated with other files stored on your device. This
may include, for example, photographs, audio and video
clips, personal contacts, and address book information.
4. Location Information. This Application
collects real-time information about the location of a
users’ device. For example, we collect information on the
ZIP Code from which users send texts and SMS messages
through the Application and the Services. If a user does
not want us to collect this information do not download
the Application or delete it from the user’s device. Note,
however, that opting out of the Application’s collection
of location information may cause all or parts of the
Application to become inaccessible or not function
properly.
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:
1. To provide you with Services or information that you request from us, including to set up your user account.
2.
To transmit messages from and to users in the Company
through the Application and the Services.
3. To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide
it.
4. To provide you with notices about your account,
including expiration and renewal notices.
5. To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights
arising from any contracts entered into between you and
us, including for billing and collection
6. To notify you about changes to the Application or
Services.
7. In any other way we may describe when you provide the
information.
8. For any other purpose with your consent.
If credit card information is provided to us, this information is sent to a third party payment processor for the sole purpose of processing payments for our Services or products that you order, and credit card information is not stored in our systems;
The ownership of any information communicated to TEXTLEGAL for text messaging and/or storage purposes will remain with the user, and we will store such information securely in accordance with our security policy and the law.
TEXTLEGAL is not responsible for the text or messages sent by Company or users that are using TEXTLEGAL Application or Services. It is the sole responsibility of the Company to acquire proper permission to send text messages and/or MMS messages to its users.
We may also use your information to contact Company about our own and third-parties’ goods and services that may be of interest to Company. If Company does not want us to use Company's information in this way, please contact us at support@textlegal.net. We may disclose aggregated information about you, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide as described in this privacy policy:
1. To our subsidiaries and affiliates.

parties we use to support our business.
3. To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger,
divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution,
or other sale or transfer of some or all of TEXTLEGAL,
LLC’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of
bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which
personal information held by TEXTLEGAL, LLC about our
Application users is among the assets transferred.
4. To third parties to market their products or services
to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures. We
contractually require these third parties to keep personal
information confidential and use it only for the purposes

5. To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Application may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
1. Location Information. Users can choose
whether or not to allow the Application to collect and use
real-time information about the users’ device’s location
through the device’s privacy settings. If you block the
use of location information, some all or some parts of the
Application may become inaccessible or not function
properly.

Disclosure of Your Information for Third-Party
Advertising.
If Company does not want us to share Company's
personal information with unaffiliated or non-agent third
parties for advertising and marketing purposes, you can
opt-out by contacting us at

3. Promotional Offers from the TEXTLEGAL.
If Company does not want us to use Company's contact
information to promote our own or third parties’ products
or services, Company can opt-out by contacting us at
support@textlegal.net.
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide you with the Services. We may also retain and use your information in order to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. It is TEXTLEGAL’s policy to delete personal information about account holders and their users when their account is no longer active.
We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI” ) on the NAI’s website, which can be found here https://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1.

Nevada residents who wish to exercise their sale opt-out
rights under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A may submit
a request to
support@textlegal.net . However, please know we do not currently sell data
triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements.
You can review and change your personal information by sending us email at support@textlegal.net to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete a users' personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Our Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on the Application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Application or through any of its features, register on the Application, make any purchases through the Application, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@textlegal.net.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Application that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to support@textlegal.net.
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a user name and password, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Application, and, in particular, we do not guarantee that our Application meets the security required regarding the protection of any attorney-client communications. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk and, if you have concerns regarding attorney-client communications, we recommend that after initiating an attorney-client relationship through our Application, you continue any privileged communications through another application that uses encryption. You understand that electronic communications may be accessed by unauthorized parties when communicated across the Internet, network communications facilities, or other electronic means. You agree that we are not responsible for any electronic communication and/or any of your data which may be lost, altered, intercepted or stored without authorization during the transmission of any data whatsoever across networks not owned and/or operated by us or for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Application.
We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page and notify you by email and/or text message to the email address and/or phone number provided by you.
The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address and/or phone number for you and for periodically visiting this privacy policy to check for any changes.
